coming soon: i was a boy who traded stickers,
on what happens when you don't make assumptions about the childhoods
of grown men and women.
why academics make me nervous, about, well, about that.
performing gender: my life, my friends' lives, & the fact that none
of us have read any judith butler.
and another shot at talking about arab fear of jewish and israeli aggession.
in the meanime:
so, tonight i'm going to go see that bisexual glam queen movie velvet
goldmine, and i am having a Deep Personal Crisis that i thought i
would ask some of my drooling fans for advice on.
how do you feel about mixing pink and red? specifically, a hot pink
feather boa over a red lace pirate shirt under a silver lame trench
coat? is this a good idea, or one that will cause me to be cast out
of the community for all time? do i want to be cast out of the community
for all time? and what on earth should i do with my hair? also, do
you suggest boots or platforms?
i've just been to look at ziggy stardust era-pics of david bowie
on the web, and they seem to suggest that there is no such thing as
clashing colors when your glam. not much help on the question of hair
though--they're white guys, and my hair is in bushy-leaning-to- afro
mode since i've let it grow out a bit.
the best drag king routine i ever saw in my life was a glitter-boy
and a femme with an awesome robot demeanor acting out vaguely kinky
scenes to the tune of prince's darling nicki. i keep going to drag
shows hoping to see more glitterkings. sadly, i have not.
there is always liquid sky though. ah, yummy boy/girl, the
scene where girl-you gives reluctant boy-you a blowjob is one of the
things that keeps me alive...
